Kookaburra Nestbox
Kookaburras and a member of the kingfisher family and can be found across most of Australia.
They prefer to nest in tree hollows and can sometimes can be found in holes formed in arboreal termite nests.
Our nestbox design reflects this preference with a small entrance spout providing enough space for sunning, leading into a shallow nesting chamber.
Boxes are screwed and glued to minimise water ingress and maximise useful lifespan. Drain holes in the floor are provided as are drainholes in the spout to reduce water ingress during storms.
Kingfisher nestboxes are supplied fully assembled and include hanging wire and tree protector as standard.
