Feathertail Glider
Rear Entry Feathertail Glider Nestbox
The Feathertail Glider is the smallest gliding marsupial in the world. It is endemic to Australia and is distinguished by having a unique feather-like tail.
The design is very similar to the single chamber wedge shape microbat nestbox, however has a slightly larger chamber top to accomodate nesting materials.
This style of nestbox is available in two mounting styles. Front entry (entrance faces away from supporting structure) or rear entry (entrance faces the tree or other supporting structure).
Rear entry mount offers more protection from opportunistic predators as gliders enter or exit the box.
All Feathertail Glider nestboxes are supplied fully assembled and include hanging wire and tree protector.
