King Parrot Nestbox
King Parrots are a large parrot widely found in eastern Australia ranging from northern Queensland all the way down the coastal ranges to Victoria.
King Parrots prefer a small (relative to their body size), but deep nesting hollow. Our box design aims to recreate the entrance hollow with an upward facing spout and a deep nesting chamber.
Boxes are screwed and glued to minimise water ingress and maximise useful lifespan. Drain holes in the floor and at the base of the spout are provided. The entrance spout has egress ladder cut into the lower face to allow easier egress for fledgling chicks.
King Parrot nestboxes are supplied fully assembled and include hanging wire and tree protector as standard.
